Artificial intelligence is everywhere, from software like the ChatGPT language processor and the DALL-E image generator to AI chatbots, and now even Twitch streamers are starting to take notice. Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa, one of the biggest stars on the platform with more than 6.4 million followers, recently launched its own artificial intelligence chatbot to “meet the needs” of the fans, as she put it. She said my city via Zoom that he expects AI Amouranth to teach social skills to minimize any harassing behavior lurking in his audience.

a successful businesswoman (who now supposedly owns a gas station) and creator of OnlyFans, Amouranth can now add “tech mogul who is excited about the future of AI” to her resume. my city met up with Amouranth, who assured us that she was not her AI counterpart, to talk about AI Amouranth, the creepy behavior of her streaming chats, and how chatbots can alleviate loneliness.
AI Twitch Streaming Chatbots, Explained
Amouranth explained how the new AI chatbot, which is Available now exclusively through the encrypted messaging platform Telegram, it works. Users have to spend money in real life ($5 equals five credits, for example) to receive a message from AI Amouranth, and each minute of the chatbot’s response requires the relative credits of the user.
“How it works is that a user leaves a voice message and the [artificial intelligence] The program will take that voicemail, convert it to text internally, formulate a text response, and then what it sends to the user is a voicemail with a voice that will be replicated on my Twitch streams and YouTube videos to test and dream. like me and will respond in a way that I would respond too,” Amouranth said. “Says [almost]exactly what I’m thinking, so it’s pretty cool.”

AI Amouranth is a partnership between the mega-popular Twitch streamer and AI forever companion, a start-up company that focuses on two-way communication between artificial intelligence and real people. While the IRL broadcaster said in a previous press release that she’s excited about the collaboration, she added to her enthusiasm with my city.
“AI is something that I know has been going on for a long time,” Amouranth said. “We are going in that direction. I remember in high school and maybe sixth grade I saw [those] MSN chatbots. So it’s been getting progressively more advanced [with] big developments recently, obviously. But many artificial intelligence applications lately, as we have seen that robot machine learning sofia android girl [from 2016 come] online. i have seen youtube videos [with] sort of similar concept [regarding] machine learning. And there are these dating sim games that we’re looking at and I think loneliness right now is at an all time high because of our society. We are always isolated from each other, especially with the pandemic. [If] this helps people feel less alone, i think it’s great. And if people are willing to bond with it or socialize with it, I don’t think it’s harmful. I’ve seen that argument too, but if you know it’s false then that’s fine. I think it’s harmless.

Although Amouranth knows that some of his audience is incredibly active in his chat, the vast majority of them are just hanging out, mostly hanging out on his streams while doing something else in the background. He’s noticed that some chatters don’t have the right social skills, something he thinks AI Amouranth could help with.
“I think it’s a great way to practice social skills for people who use them if they can respond like a real person would,” Amouranth said. “They are seeing a direct response to their conversational inputs and can learn to adjust in their own way along with the AI to get the desired outcome from a conversation. It’s like a risk-free cause and effect. And I think very rarely does anyone have that space to experiment. So, I find that very fascinating because in real life, you know, [there’s] there are usually repercussions if you mess up a conversation or leave a bad impression. But in an AI, you can learn what other humans around you will generally perceive what you’re saying and, you know, you can teach yourself how to properly socialize, improve your whole life and networking skills and relationships. So I’m very excited about that.”
AI as a means to deal with chills
However, Amouranth is incredibly tired of people asking her to “pull out a boob”, something she says comes up in her chat quite regularly. She’s part of why she hopes her AI chatbot will teach people socialization skills while she puts the trolls in her shoes. That being said, she also hopes that those trolls won’t corrupt it and instead evolve to respond the way she would.
“There are a lot of people who think that I am like this approachable person,” Amouranth said. “Some of them become needy and really crave attention. So I think having someone there to talk to 24/7 whenever they want will satisfy that parasocial desire to be able to talk to someone. And I think it’s better than when I talk to viewers constantly because when I talk to them, sometimes the less socially adjusted think there’s some kind of relationship. I’m hoping that with a known AI responding to them, maybe remove some of that stalker behavior and they just get their attention without [any] danger to me. I hope that it can satisfy those kinds of needs.”

This all sounds good, but without knowing exactly what kind of safeguards Forever Companion AI claims to have built into its AI chatbots, it’s hard to discern how AI Amouranth will interact with the real Amouranth fanbase. Parasocial relationships are difficult. manage since they are, in most cases, unilateral.
just look The Twitch deepfake scandal earlier this year, which involvedthe known odds of streamers being sexualized without consent by tech-savvy losers. But as technology evolves, Amouranth believes that AI chatbots, at the very least, are fascinating to talk to and can be useful, in a way.
