West Bengal Police to recruit 1420 Lady Constables; Applications open from April 23

The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has announced the recruitment of 1420 Lady Constables, and eligible candidates can apply from 23 April onwards. The recruitment process will include a preliminary written exam, a physical measurement test, a physical proficiency test, a final written exam, and an interview. The last date to apply is May 20, 2023.

To apply for the position, candidates must be at least 18 years old and no more than 30 years old as of January 1, 2023. There is relaxation on the upper age limit for reserved category candidates. The date of birth recorded on the Madhyamik or its equivalent admission card/certificate will only be accepted as valid proof for age verification, in accordance with the WBPRB.

Furthermore, applicants must have passed the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education Madhyamik Examination or its equivalent and be able to speak, read and write the Bengali language. However, this requirement shall not apply to persons who are permanent residents of the hill subdivisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts.

Candidates must also meet other eligibility conditions, such as physical standards, which are detailed in the official notification.
