Indian Railway Recruitment 2023: The Chairman of the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), North Western Railway (NWR), Jaipur has invited online applications from all regular service employees of North Western Railway except RPF (Railway Protection Force)/RPSF ( Special Railway Protection Force) Personnel/Employees to fill the Vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) Positions under the Competitive Departmental General Exam Quota (GDCE) through the RRCNWR recruitment 2023 Official Notification see GDCE Notification No. 01/2023 dated 03.24.2023.
Based on the RRCNWR Recruitment 2023 official announcement, there are 238 vacancies, including 120 reserved vacancies for non-reserved category candidates with Pay Grade (Pay Level) 1900 (Level 2). Monthly Salary Under Indian Railway Recruitment 2023:
According to the indian railway recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Candidates selected as Loco Pilot Assistant will be entitled to the Monthly Salary with the Grade Pays Rs. 1900 at pay level 2 explained below:
Only North Western Railway staff/regular service employees working at the following pay grade/pay level are eligible:
i) Lower than the pay grade/pay level for which the GDCE is maintained.
ii) The same pay scale grade/pay level for which the General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) is being taken, may appear in selection for non-security to security category positions, as well as security category positions to security.
iii) The allowable stipend during the Training Period will be Rs. 19900 (Level-2) Usual Assignment as admissible Per Month (According to RBE No. 08/2017).

Educational Qualification: 10/Registration Pass With
Technical qualification: I) ITI/Trade Approved Apprenticeship Act i) Installer; ii) Electrician; iii) Instrument Mechanic; iv) Miller/Maintenance Mechanic; v) Mechanics (Radio and TV); vi) Electronic Mechanic; vii) Mechanic (Motor Vehicles); viii) Wire; ix) Tractor Mechanic; x) Armature and bobbin winder; xi) Mechanics (Diesel; xii) Heat Engine; (EITHER)
Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Automobile Engineering instead of ITI. Candidates with combinations of various Engineering Trade Streams prescribed as above to be considered for Employment with the Railways in terms of the Board Instructions contained in RBE no 162/2001 Dated 08/20/2001 subject to the provisions contained in Letter from the Board No. E(NG)II/2005/RR-1/8 dated 08/28/2014 and 09/30/2015.
Selection Procedure under Indian Railway Recruitment 2023:
1) The selection for the Loco Pilot Assistant Position will be carried out strictly in order of Merit. Those shortlisted in the Computer Based Test/Written Exam would be called to appear for Document Verification.
2) The computer-based test/written exam will take place in one or two stages.
3) The computer-based test/written exam will have objective-type multiple-choice type questions with a negative score of 0.33 or 1/3 of the marks assigned for each multiple-choice question.
4) Employees submitted to the Departmental General Contest must pass/qualify the Aptitude Test.
5) The Employees Selected for the Departmental General Contest must pass the 17-Week Training Course Prescribed by RBE No. 08/2017, prior to their Appointment for the Loco Auxiliary Pilot position for which they are selected.
