Education Qualification : M.Sc. in Botany/Forestry/Wildlife/Soil Science/Environmental Science/Zoology/Allied Science from a recognized University with 1st Division (at least 60% Marks).
Desirable experience and knowledge:
to) Excellent knowledge and skills in computer applications (MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, statistical tools, Internet, etc.)
b) Field work experience in the field of Forestry Research with knowledge and experience in identification of trees, shrubs and herbs in the forest and measurement of forest vegetation inventory parameters, enumeration, sampling of Work Plan Development.
C) Knowledge of GIS, especially handling of GPS devices and basic knowledge of Geospecial Technologies.
d) Physically fit for long trips and hikes in the mountainous region.
my) Research articles published in a recognized journal.
Perk : Rs. 25,000/- per month + HRA.
Tenure: The scholarship tenure is initially until March 31, 2024 only. The intern’s work will be evaluated and, if considered satisfactory, his tenure in office may be extended further.
Selection process
The applications received will be analyzed by the Search and Selection Committee. Priority will be given to candidates with the most relevant experience and knowledge in a related field. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a separate personal interview via their email id and mobile phone numbers. The personal interview will be conducted by the Search and Selection Committee.
