The UP government will now clear the way for its procurement process to distribute 40 lakh free tablets and smartphones to the youth. This proposal from the Department of Industrial Development will be approved in the cabinet convened by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday evening.

The online application has been invited to take advantage of UP Free Laptop Yojana, Eligible students must visit the official website of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Shakti CEO Portal

For this, a portal called DG Shakti has been created, which CM Adityanath will launch soon. According to a government release, smartphones and laptops/tablets will be delivered through this portal and students will also receive information about studies from this portal.

In the first batch, around 2.5 lakh tablets and 5 lakh smartphones are planned to be supplied. It should be noted that it has been decided to distribute these devices to provide students with the necessary devices so that they can study without interruptions due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. In fact, in the last 2 years, all aspects of education have been done online with the help of smartphones, laptops, tablets, etc. That is why it was important to distribute these devices to students in need.

To apply, students need to fill out the application form by visiting the official UP CMO website. After this, the student data will be uploaded to the university website related to your college. According to the information, the first phase of distribution of smartphones and tablets will start from the birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister of the country, Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee (UP Free Laptop Smartphone Distribution Date: December 25). Established rules:

Students in technical education, medical education, and vocational courses will receive tablets
Smartphones and laptops/tablets will be issued to undergraduate and graduate students.

With this, a total of 68 lakh students will get tablets and smartphones.

The data will be transferred from the school and colleges to your university and the government plans to extract the data from there. Until last week, the government had announced that the data of around 27 lakh students had been uploaded to the DG Shakti portal and the government plans to speed up the process further. Students will start receiving information on laptops and smartphones from the government’s DG Shakti portal.
