I bring good news for all of you Lego Star Wars Nerds: After a decade of multiple sets coming with a generic, hideous piece of Lego Darksaber that no one likes, things are finally turning around. a next novelty mandalorian-thematic The game will include a more accurate darksaber part instead of the current design it lacks, which is just a standard lightsaber part molded out of black plastic.

So many interesting and great bits of Star Wars Lore never escapes the cartoon, or the pages of old novels. And the dark saber—a legendary lightsaber created by the first Mandalorian Jedi—it’s definitely one of those rad pieces of Star Wars ephemeral. Unlike standard lightsabers, it is a shorter, more katana-like weapon with a unique black and white glow. And when he appeared at the end of the mandalorianseason finale, I was very emotional in a way that still embarrasses me to this day. It later appeared in a Lego set based on the show, and I was disappointed to see that it was still using the same horrible, inaccurate piece that Lego had been using for a decade in clone wars sets. But no more!
Revealed yesterday by Lego and Disney as part of a larger mandalorian-themed week of new merchandise, next Spider Tank Set (75361) he ditches the old piece for a new, sharper looking black blade that more closely resembles the Darksaber as it appears on the show. I’m very happy.
Last year, I was excited to purchase the then-new mandalorian N1-Starfighter Game because I like the character and the show, and the N1 is my favorite Star Wars ship. (Yes, it’s from the prequels, but don’t take that into account.) However, I was disappointed that even after two seasons of the mandalorian and a few years of Lego making games based on the show, the company was still shipping that hideous black lightsaber piece. In 2022, Lego suggested that he did not have enough time to create an entirely new part for the N1 set, but still wanted to include the Darksaber regardless. Now it looks like the company has had enough time to finally create the new part.
Yeah, that’s totally what happened. No way, Lego saddled a popular set with a piece of crap the fans didn’t like and then added the cool new piece Darksaber to a set that looks pretty bland for nerdy adult Lego fans (hello! ) Buy it just for the shiny new Darksaber. No, that is absolutely not what happened. And frankly, I resent the implication.
The new mandalorian The Spider-Tank set is scheduled to go on sale on August 1 and will cost $50.
