Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic first arrived in 2003, and with it the mold for mass effect and many subsequent RPGs were born. Starting with BioWare (mass effect, dragon age) pioneer in the first entry and ending with that of Obsidian (The outer worlds, pillars of eternity) Exciting Sequel, Kotor is an essential part of modern gaming history and a great sci-fi experience through the Star Wars universe.
Working with source material that is more fantastic than we probably expect to see in star field, you’ll have the choice to be a Jedi or a Sith, with some space to hang out in between as well, though as a 2000s-era game, some of the moral choices feel a little dated by today’s standards. Given the game’s age, that’s not the only aspect that’s showing its age. The combat, in particular, feels a bit stiff, though you can pause it to get a feel for what’s going on in case you feel overwhelmed. If you’re down with their rapids, Kotor it’s still wonderful Star Wars role playing game
Occurring 4,000 years earlier Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menacethe events of the game are far enough removed from the movies that you can really create your own story here as you unravel the secrets of the Jedi and Sith.
if you are a Star Wars amateur and I have not played Kotor, you must close this tab and access it. If you’re just looking for a great RPG set in space, Kotor It won’t disappoint in that category either.
