How to know if a remote job is legitimate?

This can become an easy target for scammers. It is common on the Internet to see big promises of big pay for little work. The Internet has been around for quite some time. If that were possible, wouldn’t we all be doing it now?
Obviously, one of the biggest red flags to look for is, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” Some others that are common:
- Interviews through a messaging application.. These impersonal interactions often hide the person’s identity and pressure him into providing her personal information before he has a chance to think about it.
- check cashing schemes. These scammers often promise to pay for equipment or training. They will send you a check, or a picture of a check on these days. You just need to cash it in, buy what you need, and send them what’s left over. The only problem? That check will bounce and you will be responsible for paying your bank back. When you try to locate the person who sent you the check, they will be long gone.
