General description:

GE is recruiting an experienced Finance Specialist 1 – Accounting Operations at its Hyderabad location. This role is responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver true and accurate financial reporting and analysis. It affects the quality of one’s own work and the work of others in the team. Focused on the execution of standard enabling activities/advice provision subject to policies and work routines within an enabling discipline. There may be some freedom to rearrange the sequence of completing tasks/duties based on changing situations.

What will you be doing:

Responsible for general ledger and policy enforcement and process management for all cycles including inventory, revenue recognition, accounts receivable/payable, intercompanies, etc.

Expand the knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in the discipline itself to execute functional policies/strategies; still developing functional knowledge and skills.

Basic understanding of key business drivers; he uses this understanding to carry out his own work. Good understanding of how own team’s work integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

You may have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Solves problems in situations that require good knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consult more senior team members for issues outside of defined policy/parameters.

A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills. For customer service roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between the customer and GE. Explain technical information to others.

Qualifications for this job:

This role requires basic experience in Finance and Accounting Operations.

The level of knowledge is comparable to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to document, plan, market and execute programs.
