Instacart shoppers at the store are part-time employees. In this position, you simply select groceries for the customer’s order at the store and pack them for pickup. Therefore, you do not need a vehicle for this position. Every Instacart delivery driver must have a reliable vehicle and pass a criminal background check.

door board is a food delivery app that operates in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Australia. DoorDash was founded in 2013 with a mission to support local economies. DoorDash partners with local restaurants that may not be able to offer delivery service on their own and hires local freelancers to make those food deliveries.

Once hired as a DoorDash driver or “Dasher”, you will be able to sign up for available shifts at the location of your choice: door board it is currently available in many major cities. During your shift, you may be assigned to wait near a partner restaurant for orders to arrive. Once a customer places an order, the process is quite simple:

Uber Eats is a food delivery service under Uber. Delivery concerts are available in many major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Boston, Phoenix, Washington, etc. However, the app is growing across the country.

Depending on your location, you may be able to deliver with your car, bike, or scooter. You set your hours and work as little or as much as you want. Like DoorDash, your compensation is based on your number of deliveries.

Actual earnings could be higher, as Uber Eats guarantees higher rates for delivery to specific areas and times to balance driver supply and demand.

GrubHub

Average Potential Earnings: $16 per hour

GrubHub is another popular delivery app in the food delivery space. The company’s website says more orders are placed on its platform than any other, and it’s available in dozens of cities across the US. They’ve also partnered with Seamless, so you can deliver those food orders too .

The company encourages GrubHub drivers to sign up for scheduled blocks when they become available, although I’ve heard it’s not necessary. Login and work whenever you want.

There are no pay rates available on the site, and I have read at least one review that the incentives are almost non-existent. That being said, tips are encouraged during the ordering process and drivers keep them 100%.

You’ll need a driver’s license (state ID if you’re bicycling), car insurance, and a bank account to get paid.

Sent promotes flexible hours on its website for shoppers. You can work full time or part time. You set your schedule.

Shipt’s website currently says that experienced buyers earn an average of $22 per hour. That’s not so bad, especially if you’re working for a full-time income. Buyers are paid weekly.

This delivery platform allows customers to ship just about anything, including their pets! And they can ship almost anywhere within the US.

Shipping rates are determined by the size of the item and the distance it is being shipped. According to the website at the time of publishing this post, drivers can earn up to $60 for local deliveries and up to $650 for long-distance trips. You’ll also have access to special driver discounts on food, rent and repairs once you become a Roadie driver.

Drivers must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and be able to pass a background check. You must also maintain 4-star review status once hired.
