The Ministry of Education (MoE) has announced that applications are open for the British Council Women in STEM Scholarships. Candidates who are eligible can apply for the scholarships by visiting the official website – britishcouncil.org.

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is March 31. “British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM are awarded to women pursuing postgraduate science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) studies at a UK university who can demonstrate their need for financial support and who wish to inspire future generations of women to pursue careers in STEM,” said an official statement from the higher education department of the Ministry of Education on the official website of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
The scholarship program is working in partnership with 19 UK universities and includes prestigious academic benefits, financial support including tuition fees, stipend, travel costs, visa and health cover, special support for mothers and language support. English.

• must be a woman
• Have the permanent residence of India
• Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree which will enable you to enter a postgraduate program at a UK partner university at the time of submitting your application and must start your postgraduate program in the UK.
• Not have previously studied at undergraduate level or above in the UK or have recently lived in the UK.
• Meet the English language requirement of the UK university partner.
• Demonstrate case of financial support.
• Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your scholarship award ends
