I’ve been trying to do the occasional blog post for companies that hire in different specific states. So far, I’ve covered California, Texas, and Florida. Next on the list is New York!

New York is one of the most populous states in the United States. And unfortunately, I often see it left out. Many companies say they can’t hire from New York. However, this is often the case with standalone roles.

But all hope is not lost. If you live in New York and want a job from home, the 10 companies below are hiring within the state.

If you’re not in New York, you should look for these openings anyway. Most of them are also open to other US states.

Ranker – Data Operations Assistant (Read Review). CA, NY, AZ, IL, TX, VA, WA, PA. Above all a work of proofreading. She must have extensive knowledge of pop culture for fact-checking purposes and good investigative skills. The payment is not disclosed.

first quarter financials – Investigator. USA, excluding CA, MA, NJ or NY. He must have a passion for meticulous research. Resume is required. Flexible schedule. Pay rate not given.

Bravely – Executive assistants. US (excluding Washington, DC, Alaska, and Hawaii) and UK. Must have a minimum of 7 years of direct hands-on experience as an executive assistant or senior administrative assistant to one or more executives, as well as 4 years of calendar management experience, including coordinating meetings, appointments and schedules for executives. Starting pay of $24-$28 per hour (£18 in the UK).

BKA content – Product description writers (read review). You must be at a university writing level, with a strong understanding of English grammar, spelling and punctuation, and the ability to meet strict deadlines. The average rate varies, but they say you can expect to earn around $14-$21 per hour, depending on speed.

ZOE – Customer Service Associates. CT, GA, IN, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are required, as well as availability for flexible hours. Payment unknown.

HireVue – Customer service representatives. Multiple US states, shifts will be MST. 2+ years of experience in a customer service role is required, as well as excellent communication skills. Pay is $17.50/hour.

Health Elevation – Customer service representatives. You must live within 50 miles of Latham, NY, Middletown, NY, Manchester, NH, Wallingford, CT, South Portland, ME, or Roanoke, VA. Full time, paying between $16.25 and $17.50 per hour. Benefits included. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent training.

We locate – Ad quality qualifier. Anywhere in the US, including NY. Speak English. You’ll use a unique web-based tool to evaluate search engine ads against project guidelines. Pay $15 per hour. This is a W2 role, not an independent contractor.

Hit – Originator of the loan. US including NY as the company is based in NY. Must have 3+ years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator with an emphasis on Purchase Loans and $15mm+ in closed purchase volume in the last 12 months.

elskimm – Fact checker. NY (in the office) or remote. Support the editorial teams of Skimm Money, Skimm Well, Skimm Parenting and SEO by fact checking editorial newsletter and web content. At least 2 years or more of fact-checking experience in specific positions or writing/editing roles that require fact-checking. He prefers a bachelor’s degree. It pays between $30 and $35 per hour.
